About This Course

Heat stress is not a temperature problem — it is an exposure-management problem. This course gives you a structured five-step framework (RECOGNIZE → ASSESS → CONTROL → MONITOR → RESPOND) to identify heat hazards in your workplace, assess who is at risk and why, choose controls in the right order, keep those controls working, and respond effectively in the first minutes of a heat emergency.Built on the live Heat Stress at Work session delivered by SMS Training Services, this self-paced version re-engineers the same material for individual, on-demand learning — with knowledge checks, real workplace scenarios, and a final assessment that tests your understanding across all five steps.Scope: Awareness level. This course produces informed managers and supervisors, not competent occupational hygienists. It does not confer heat-stress assessment competence or first-aid certification.
